Anyone who wants to grow in their fight against their sin is welcome to join in! You can join from anywhere in the world. Please note that the cohort is restricted to women only.
Your registration details are concealed from other participants and only known to the host. During the meet-ups you are welcome to mask your face/turn off video, and resort to anonymous initials to conceal your identity, if you so wish. However, know that you will be among friends and kindreds who likewise struggle and survive everyday and your presence brings encouragement and courage to each one.
All your bio details are only known to the host. You may see question above on online presence confidentiality. Additionally information discretion is recommended in the meet-ups to protect your details. You are welcome to share your struggles or prayer requests but you are the sole owner of information shared.
Often participants register for a course and then forget about it or drop mid-way and this costs a great deal to course creators. The small fee charged is to show intent of commitment and pay for the costs involved in creating the course.
The cohort starts on Sep 8, and will go on until Sep 22. We will be meeting everyday from 9-930 pm IST.
Everyday we will have a brief 15 minute devotional to offer hope and help to participants in their struggles. Different Scripture passages will be expounded/reflected upon at this time. Following this, prayer needs may be taken and there would be a brief prayer time for all. The entire session would be for half an hour a day, and participants are welcome to hang out afterwards and talk or pray more. My hope is that the cohort will foster a deeper communion with Christ and new friendships with fellow travellers.
Addictions are habits. Most of these lurk especially at night when the body is exhausted, sleep is deprived, and loneliness creeps in. By creating a daily habit of night time worship and prayer, we are preparing to withstand these pressures, break the habitual cycle and recreate worshipful patterns. Doing so in a spiritual community kills the environment of loneliness on which addictions thrive (of course, there are some addictions which happen communally too!)
